U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday urged the world to stop being “politically correct” in order to ensure security, after three attackers drove a van into pedestrians and stabbed revelers in London, killing seven. At least 48 people were injured in the attack, the third to hit Britain in less than three months and occurring days ahead of a snap parliamentary election on Thursday.”We must stop being politically correct and get down to the business of security for our people,” Trump wrote on Sunday morning. “If we don’t get smart it will only get worse.”He continued: “At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is ‘no reason to be alarmed!'”London Mayor Sadiq Khan — elected last year and the first Muslim to head a major Western capital — had earlier said Britons should not be alarmed to see a higher police presence on the streets of London following the incident.

Ananya Vinay, 12, of Fresno, California wins the 2017 Scripps Spelling Bee Mark Wilson/Getty ImagesA CNN host is accused of making what some are saying is a “racist” remark to 12-year-old Scripps Spelling Bee Champion Ananya Vinay who the host said likely misspelled a word on air because “its root is not in Sanskrit, which is what you’re probably used to using.” Hosts Alisyn Camerota, who made the comment, and Chris Cuomo jokingly asked her to spell ‘covfefe,’ what Ms Camerota called a “nonsense word.”Ananya, who is of Indian origin, was born and raised in Fresno, California and had just been named the 2017 champion the previous evening. An Indian-American child has won the competition every year since 2008, and Ananya is the 13th overall to do so.
The FBI has arrested members of a motorcycle gang accused to have hacked and stolen over 150 Jeep Wranglers from Southern California, which they later crossed the border into Mexico to have stripped down for parts.Authorities unsealed an indictment yesterday in a press conference held in San Diego. According to details included in the indictment and an attached search warrant, the gang — named Hooligans Motorcycle Club and based in Tijuana, Mexico — combined old school and modern hacking tactics to carry out the thefts undetected.Hooligans Motorcycle Gang’s “Dirty 30” behind the theftsGang members that allegedly participate in these thefts had a very precise role and were part of a Hooligans Motorcycle Gang sub-unit called Dirty 30. All thefts followed the same model.According to court documents, gang members organized themselves into various theft crews, and in each crew, members had different roles such as leader, thief, transporter, scout, or key cutter. All thefts started with a scouting phase where gang members with the role of scout drove around South California to identify motorcycles and Jeep Wrangler models they wanted to steal. While the theft of motorcycles didn’t involve a key, with crooks bypassing the ignition switch, the theft of Jeep Wranglers was far more complex and involved quite a lot of high-tech gadgetry.
A SHEEPISH Tasmanian man has admitted he’s “not too sure” what happened on Saturday night after he woke up after a “few beers gone badly” to find a selfie on his phone with the police in his bed.Well, almost.Yesterday, Tasmanian police urged partygoers to “plan ahead” after the news of Reece Park’s big night swept across the globe. Two friendly officers, Constables Natalie Siggins and Jeremy Blyth, escorted the drunk man home and took a selfie so he could remember how he got there. The selfie included the two officers, with Mr Park, who lives in Launceston, giving a “hang ten” symbol in bed.
Google argued that it was too financially burdensome and logistically challenging to compile and hand over salary records that the government has requested, sparking a strong rebuke from the US Department of Labor (DoL), which has accused the Silicon Valley firm of underpaying women.
Some principles are non-negotiable. I like talking to people whose views on religion, politics, food, the environment, hairdos and footwear differ from my own. But I stand firmly behind Dangerous Minds’ “zero tolerance” policy for anyone who doesn’t like the B-52s. Those jerks can wash down a plate of boiled shoe leather with a cold glass of splinters. The rest of us will be borne aloft on the angelic sounds of Ricky Wilson’s guitar and the subtle flavors of Cindy Wilson’s sweet potato cornbread.
In the mid-1970’s disposable razors hit the market and were all the rage which led to a very bizarre tie-in with USA’s largest fast food chain restaurant. In 1978 (and then again in 1986) McDonald’s launched a nationwide “Free Razor with Breakfast Entree” promotional campaign. Apparently back then it never occurred to anybody that eating and shaving are two things that should never be combined.
Air travel is not recommended for pets, unless it is absolutely necessary. In fact, air travel can be hazardous for animals with “pushed in” faces, such as bulldogs, pugs and Persian cats as they may have breathing issues when flying due to their limited airways and stress. But if you are moving to a new country and need to take your cat with you, you may have no choice but to transport him on a plane. There are many horror stories associated with transporting cats on an airplane, but with the right preparation, your feline friend can arrive to his new home safe and sound.Method1Transporting Your Cat in the Cabin1Talk to the airline about transporting your cat in the cabin. Contact the airline you are planning to fly with to check if you can transport your cat in the airport cabin in carrier under the seat in front of you. Avoid transporting your cat in the cargo or luggage hold if possible. Most airlines will allow you to take your cat on the plane in the cabin area for a small fee. Try to call the airline well in advance of your flight, as there is a limited number of animals allowed in the cabin during a flight.
Amazon has once again expanded its reach in all things commerce, this time with its own take on the grocery store.
A pilot program being carried out under the Amazon Fresh banner will allow Seattle residents to order various fresh grocery items (including produce and dairy) ahead of time, and then pick them up at an Amazon warehouse location.
The service, which is being offered for free to Amazon Prime members, lets customers shop online for groceries, then reserve a time to pick up. Once the order has been placed, customers drive to one of the two Seattle locations and Amazon workers will load the order directly into the customer’s car. Orders can also be picked up from a waiting room.
Amazon says the orders will be ready for pickup as quickly as 15 minutes after they’re placed.
“Whether you’re shopping for your weekly groceries or picking up a last-minute item, we have thousands of grocery items available at low prices – including high-quality meats, fresh produce, bread, dairy, household essentials and more,” Amazon says of the grocery service.
